The following contest is open to all residents in the Province of Ontario who are
the age of majority. No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited.
- CONTEST
The LOVE YOUR HOME - WIN A $500 STONEY CREEK FURNITURE GIFT
CARD Contest (the “Contest”) runs from Thursday, April 9, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.
(EDT) until Sunday, May 31, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. (EDT) (the “Contest Closing
Date”).
- ELIGIBILITY
To enter and be eligible to win, a person must be a resident of Ontario who is at
least 18 years of age at the time of entry and who is not an employee of Stoney
Creek Furniture (the “Sponsor”), its affiliated companies or agents, their respective
advertising or promotional agencies, the independent contest organization or a
member of any such employee’s immediate family (regardless of where they live)
or household (whether related to the employee or not). In these Official Rules,
“immediate family” includes mother, father, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters or
spouse.
- HOW TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter, visit www.stoneycreekfurniture.com to
fully complete the Entry Form with all required information, which requires you: (i)
to enter your full name, valid email address, and postal code (ii) signify your
agreement that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the terms and
conditions of these Official Rules and Regulations (the “Rules”). To be eligible,
your Entry must be submitted and received within the Contest Period. All eligible
Entries submitted and received during the Contest Period will be entered into the
random prize draw.
There is a limit of one (1) Entry per person permitted during the Contest Period:
the initial entry which is made by successfully filling out and submitting the Entry
Form. An entrant may earn one (1) extra contest entry by signing up for our
eClub. The entrant has the option to unsubscribe at any time by emailing
unsubscribe@stoneycreekfurniture.com or clicking the unsubscribe link in our
emails.
If it is discovered by the Sponsor (using any evidence or other information made
available to or otherwise discovered by the Sponsor) that any person has
attempted to: (i) obtain more than one (1) Entry per person during the Contest
Period and/or (ii) use (or attempt to use) multiple names and/or email addresses to
enter or otherwise participate in or disrupt this Contest; then he/she may be
disqualified from the Contest in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor.
Your Entry may be rejected if (in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor)
the Entry Form is not fully completed with all required information and submitted
and received during the Contest Period. The Released Parties (defined below) are
not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, delayed, incomplete or incompatible
Entries (all of which are void).
All Entries are subject to verification at any time and for any reason. The Sponsor
reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity
and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor – including, without limitation,
government issued photo identification): (i) for the purposes of verifying an
individual’s eligibility to participate in this Contest; and/or (ii) for the purposes of
verifying the eligibility and/or legitimacy of an Entry entered (or purportedly
entered) for the purposes of this Contest. Failure to provide such proof to the
satisfaction of the Sponsor in a timely manner may result in disqualification in the
sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor.
- THE PRIZE AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES
There will be a total of one (1) prize ("Prize") awarded. The Prize consists of one
(1) $500 CAD Stoney Creek Furniture Gift Certificate applicable towards Stoney
Creek Furniture merchandise. If the total dollar value of the merchandise selected
is less than $500 CAD, the difference will not be refunded to the Prize winner and
the Prize winner will forfeit such difference.
The Prize must be accepted as awarded. The Sponsor reserves the right to
substitute the Prize for another prize of approximately the same retail value, in its
discretion without prior notice. The Prize cannot be exchanged for cash or other
substitutes. Prize will only be awarded to the person whose verifiable full name
appears on the Entry Form.
- RANDOM PRIZE DRAW AND WINNER SELECTION
On or about Friday, June 5 (the “Draw Date”) in Stoney Creek, Ontario, one (1)
eligible entrant will be selected by random draw, from among all eligible Entries
submitted and received during the Contest Period in accordance with these Rules,
to win the Prize. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Entries
submitted and received during the Contest Period in accordance with these Rules.
The Sponsor or its designated representative will make up to two (2) attempts to
contact the selected entrant (using the email information provided) within ten (10)
business days of the Draw Date. If a selected entrant cannot be contacted within
ten (10) business days of the Draw Date, or if there is a return of any notification
as undeliverable; then he/she may, in the sole and absolute discretion of the
Sponsor, be disqualified (and, if disqualified, will forfeit all rights to the Prize) and
the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion and time
permitting, to randomly select an alternate eligible entrant from among the
remaining eligible Entries (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section
shall apply to such newly selected entrant).
BEFORE BEING DECLARED A CONFIRMED PRIZE WINNER, the selected
entrant will be required to: (a) correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing
question without mechanical or other aid, to be administered by telephone at a
mutually convenient time and date; and (b) sign and return within five (5) business
days of notification the Sponsor’s declaration and release form, which (among
other things): (i) confirms compliance with these Rules; (ii) acknowledges
acceptance of the Prize as awarded; (iii) releases the Contest Parties and each of
their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives, successors and
assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability in connection
with this Contest, his/her participation therein and/or the awarding and use/misuse
of the Prize or any portion thereof; and (iv) agree to the publication, reproduction
and/or other use of his/her name, address, voice, statements about the Contest
and/or photograph or other likeness without further notice or compensation, in any
publicity or advertisement carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor in any
manner whatsoever, including print, broadcast or the internet. If the selected
entrant: (a) fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question within the allotted
time; (b) fails to return the properly executed Contest documents within the
specified time; (c) cannot accept (or is unwilling to accept) the Prize as awarded
for any reason; and/or (d) is determined to be in violation of these Rules (all as
determined by the Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion); then he/she may,
in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, be disqualified (and, if
disqualified, will forfeit all rights to the Prize) and the Sponsor reserves the right, in
its sole and absolute discretion and time permitting, to randomly select an
alternate eligible entrant from among the remaining eligible Entries (in which case
the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such newly selected entrant).
- CONSENT TO SEND COMMERCIAL ELECTRONIC MESSAGES
By entering this Contest, each entrant permits the Sponsor, its agents, promotional
agencies, representatives and contest judges to collect the information submitted by
the Entrant and to use it to administer the Contest. If the Entrant has also consented
to the use of the Entrants’ personal information for marketing and promotional
purposes, the Entrant agrees that the Sponsor may send the Entrant offers,
promotions and information about its products and/or services. The Sponsor may
communicate with the Entrant through various channels, including telephone, mail,
or using any other contact information the Entrant has provided. The Sponsor will
respect the Entrants’ preferences otherwise recorded. The Entrant may withdraw

- GENERAL CONDITIONS
By entering the contest, entrants agree to abide by the Official Rules and the
decisions of the independent contest organization with respect to all aspects of the
contest. By entering, the winner consents to the use of his/her name, address (city
and province) and/or photograph without further remuneration, in connection with
any publicity carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor.
The winner will be required to complete and sign a Declaration & Release Form
confirming compliance with the Official Rules, acceptance of the prize as awarded,
without substitution, and release the Sponsor, its affiliated and related companies,
advertising and promotional agencies, the independent contest organization and
their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents,
representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any
liability in connection with the prize of this contest.
The winner will be required to correctly answer without assistance of any kind,
whether mechanical or otherwise, a mathematical skill-testing question posed on
the Declaration & Release Form in the presence of the salesperson, who will verify
the submission. Chances of winning are dependent on the number of entries
received.
The sponsors may, at their sole discretion, declare any person whom they believe
to be abusing the Contest Rules prohibited from entering any contest. Such abuse
includes entering false information and submitting more than one entry per person.
