Stoney Creek Furniture is a proud and caring member of the Greater Golden Horseshoe community for over 50 years.
At Stoney Creek Furniture we're reducing our carbon footprint because we understand the importance of doing our part in protecting the environment.
• All of our showroom lights have been retro fitted and upgraded to LED low wattage lighting.
• The T5 Flourescent lighting we use are environmentally friendly by consuming less energy then incandescent bulbs.
• All of our warehouse lights are on motion sensors that go on and off to save energy.
• We are committed to the best possible recycling programs for all of our packaging. With our deluxe delivery service, we unpackaged and blanket wrap our furniture, so that our customers are not left with the packaging material. We collect all of our cardboard and compile it in our baler machine. Then it gets picked up for recycling.
• We use paper bags for the sale of our smaller accessory items.
• We do our best to reuse and recycle plastics and other recyclable materials in both our showroom and warehouse locations.
• We have installed a full TPO membrane roofing system to reflect the sunlight and insulate the roof on our flagship showroom location in Stoney Creek.
• We purchase from manufacturers and suppliers who use sustainably sourced components, including lumber and soy based foam that is emissions tested. We will continue to source and be mindful of products with a sustainable story attached.
• We have installed air barriers to doors and loading bays in our warehouse to reduce heat loss and enable efficient temperature control.
